You know what’s irritating with some work people
When they say “When I first met you, I thought you were intimidating.”
I think to myself, “I never said anything more than my name when I first met you, so this is a fun way to tell me I was nothing more than a stereotype.”
The worst thing about this, is now these “quick to judge, but not do a push-up” kind of people are the social justice warriors scattered on the timelines today.
Fighting for everyone rights in the studio, no live. It’s like buying a really good album, only to find out the artist can’t perform their songs live.
They came to the conclusion I wasn’t “intimidating” when they were ear-hustling me joking with someone else. Talk about not being invited, and still showing up to give an opinion that wasn’t sought after.
